    Downloading the Legato Command Reference Guide
    The Command Reference Guide consists of some 200 files in a particular directory structure. You can
    view the Command Reference directly from the Legato website, using your browser with the Acrobat
    plugin, and you can also print individual command pages when doing so.
    The full search features* of the Command Reference are not available when viewing the Command Ref-
    erence through a web browser. It is therefore recommended that you view the Command Reference from
    your Legato Documentation Suite CD ROM, or copy it from the CD to your hard drive. Alternately, you
    can download the full set of Command Reference files from the Legato website.
    To download the complete Command Reference Guide from the Legato website:
    • Visit the Documentation page and find the list of manuals.
    • Click on the Command Reference link.
    • Click “Downloads.” You will have a choice of the following:
    cmndref.zip - WinZip archive (Windows)
    cmndref.tar.gz - compressed tape archive (UNIX)
    • Right click either of the archive links, and save the file to your hard drive.
    • Use an appropriate program to uncompress the archive file into an empty directory.
    • View the command.pdf file in that directory using Acrobat 3.0 or later with the global search plugin.*

    * You can search all 176 commands in the Command Reference, using boolean operators, when viewing the command.pdf file
    with Acrobat Reader 3.0 or later, with the search plugin. The appropriate version of the reader is available from the Adobe
    website at www.adobe.com, and is also included on the Legato Documentation Suite CD ROM. The Acrobat global search fea-
    ture is not available with languages that require double-byte fonts.
