YOU ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN A FORUM ON INCLUSIVE EDUCATION

TUESDAY 17TH SEPTEMBER 2013 10 am to 3pm MULTI CULTURAL HUB 506 Elizabeth St. Melbourne (opposite Queen Vic. Market Melways Ref 43 G6) Red & Yellow Rooms

PLEASE JOIN PARENTS, FAMILY MEMBERS, TEACHERS, ADVOCATES AND OTHERS COMMITTED TO ACHIEVING FULLY INCLUSIVE SCHOOLS AT THIS FORUM WE WILL:
discuss and affirm the lifelong implications (both individual and societal) for achieving inclusion and identify and address the challenges look at ways to actively support participants by sharing information, experiences and good practice. create an opportunity for ongoing dialogue and networking with and between participants foster and encourage ongoing networks collaboratively explore ideas/strategies for participants to take action individually and/or collectively

PROGRAM

The program will include presentations by a Year 12 student Tim Chan, 3 parents, Lorraine Rodrigues, Jane Tracy & Sarah Chan, a teacher, Stephanie Campbell and a leading academic Professor Roger Slee Director, Victoria Institute for Education, Diversity and Lifelong Learning. There will be a panel discussion and question time with opportunities to network and share information. This forum is an initiative of the Inclusive Education Alliance (facilitated by STAR) which is a group of individuals and organisations from the education and disability advocacy fields committed to the promotion of Inclusion for all in the education of students with disability in Victorian education
