It has always been in the controversy which is the best way to teach a course or qualify. Most students prefer low workload and are inclined compensivos exams at the end of the course. I think that is due to many factors from family, economic, psychological and social. But focusing only educational, everything depends on the type of course being evaluated and that level is the student. For example for science courses such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, evaluation should be every week, be working for extra work or chapters. This is best achieved as students take a sequence in their knowledge and make an assessment as easier for students and the teacher. The disadvantage of examination week, is that students memorize the subject only to the test in question and then not remember the main ideas of this subject evaluated, but this would be carried out the nal test of understanding. Therefore, for courses sciences should be performed both types of test. For courses such as art, history ... and high school level, consideration could be understanding at the end of the course. The disadvantage of this type of evaluation is that no good would come to deepen the course. The advantage is that it would advance more issues. For my preference, it is better to review a week, which is achieved so that students take a rhythm of work and the end did not make them dicult or tedious to retake the subjects saw the beginning of the course.
