To, All Overseas Distributors Sub: Introduction of Assembly Dual Brake Valve with integral filters on vehicles with air brake system. We wish to inform you that Dual brake valve with integral filters (2 filters per valve) have been introduced on M/s Sundaram Clayton make effective May 2004. This modification has been introduced to reduce dust ingress / leakage complaints & to enhance the life of DB valve. Upper & lower bodies of DB valve have been modified to accommodate integral filters. Sealing rings used in earlier version can be used in modified bodies. Both the filters are interchangeable. Integral filters can not be fitted on older version DB valve. Modified & unmodified DB valve as assembly are interchangeable with each other. Modified DB valves can be identified by part number of M/s Sundaram Clayton punched on number plate. Old part number M 600330 M 600560 M 600580 M 600590 M 600350 M 600680 New part number M 600331 M 600561 M 600581 M 600591 M 600351 M 600681

Details of TATA Motors part numbers for modified DB valve assemblies / repair kits applicable for modified valves will be communicated separately. In addition to this, modifications given below have been introduced on DB valves applicable for cold countries, to prevent air leakage complaints at extremely low ambient temperature. 1. Upgraded rubber components 2. Better quality grease. DB valve applicable for cold countries can be identified by Blue colour sticker (Export Ukraine) pasted on body of DB valve. There is no change in part number of DB valve applicable for cold countries.
