Task 21 There are I2 people in the classroom (area 36 m2, height 4.5 m).

A 10 minute airing is done by means of a vent (40 x 60 cm) every hour during the break. The air motion rate through the vent is 0,5 m/sec. The amount of CO2 breathed out by l person per I hour is 22.6 l. Determine: l) The necessary volume of ventilation. 2) The necessary ventilation ratio. 3) The volume of in-coming air. 4) The actual ventilation ratio. 5) Assess the ventilation efficiency. Task 22 There are 25 students in the sports hall (area - 400 m, height - 6 m). The airing is done By 2 constantly working exhausters. The air inflow is passive through the door & windows. The air motion rate in exhausters is 2.5 v/sec. The section area of each window is 0.4 m2. The physical training is of average intensity. CO2 discharge - 240 l/h /person. Calculate: I) The necessary volume of ventilation. 2) The necessary ventilation ratio. 3) The volume of in-coming air. 4) The actual ventilation ratio. 5) Assess the ventilation efficiency.

Tusk 23 There are 3 vents (60 x 70 cm each) in the lecture hall. The lecture hall is intended for 150 people. Its area is 240 m, its height is 3.5 m, A I0-minute airing is done every 50 minutes during the break. The air motion rate in a ventilation opening is 1 m/sec. Task 24 There are I4 students & a teacher in the classroom (area 50 m2, height - 4.5 m). A Minute cross airing is done every hour during the break by means of vent & by means of an Open door. The air motion rate in the vent is 0.8 m/sec. Calculate; l) The necessary volume of ventilation 2) The necessary ventilation ratio. 3) The volume of in-coming air. 4) The actual ventilation ratio. 5) Assess the ventilation efficiency.

Task 25 There is a conference hall (area - 300 m2, height - 3.6 m). It is intended for 120 people. The airing is done by means of`2 constantly open fanlights in the upper part of the window (60 x60 cm), The air motion rate in the fanlights is 0,4 m/sec. Calculate: l) The necessary volume of ventilation. 2) The necessary ventilation ratio. 3) The volume of in-coming air. 4) The actual ventilation ratio. 5) Assess the ventilation efficiency. Task 26 There are 2 constantly working ventilators in the Assembly Hall (area - 400 m2, height -7 m). It is intended for 500 people. The area of ventilation opening is 0.3 m2. The air motion rate in ventilation openings is 2 m/sec. Calculate: l) The necessary volume of ventilation. 2) The necessary ventilation ratio. 3) The volume of in-coming air. 4) The actual ventilation ratio. 5) Assess the ventilation efficiency.

The Hygienic Assessment of Water Supply & Drinking Water Sources.

Task I The Carbon Bisulphide Works releases sewage into the river. The carbon bisulphide con-Centration in sewage is 200 mg/l. River discharge - 120.000 1/sec, sewage discharge - 800 l/sec. The water taken in this river down-stream is used as drinking water. Carbon bisulphide maxi-Mum permissible concentration for reservoirs is 1 mg/I. Is Water discharge admitting table? Make a sanitary-hygienic assessment of the water quality; determine the character & time of pollution. Give recommendations about the water quality improvement.
