USING ACTION BUTTONS IN CREATING SIMPLE MULTIPLE-


CHOICE TEST

PowerPoint comes with some ready-made 'action' buttons that you can insert in your
presentation and define hyperlinks. Action button contain shapes, such as left and right
arrows, etc. In this presentation, we will show you how to use the action buttons in
creating a multiple-choice test.

1. Open PowerPoint 2003>click Format>click Slide Layout> choose Title,


Content and Text layout.

2. Type question in the title>Choose picture from file and place it in the Content
box>Write options in the text box.

3. Put Action Buttons before the items> click cancel>click right-hand mouse at the
Action Buttons>click Add Text> write A, B, C and D on every Action Buttons.

4. Do the same way as previous action in the next slide to create as much test item as
you need.
5. Insert New Slide>choose Title only layout>Type CORRECT.

6. Insert New Slide>choose Title only layout>Type WRONG.

7. Do Edit Hyperlink:
a. In the Action Settings box, under the Mouse Click, Click Hyperlink
to>click Slide…>choose the Slide title Right (for the right answer) or
Wrong (for the wrong answer) in the Hyperlink to Slide box.
b. Do Edit Hyperlink to all the Action Buttons in all slides.
