CHECKING MEANING

Why are following questions unsuitable? How would you check that students. 1. To check the third conditional: If I'd seen him, I'd have told him. ``OK, this is called the third conditional and you use it when you're talking about something in the past but you're hypothesising because of course you didn't see him so you didn't give him the message. Have you all got that? Good...`` 2. ``Do you all understand wardrobe? You seem to, so I think we'll move on.`` 3. To check the conditional: If he comes, I'll tell him. ``Will he know if he doesn't come? Supposing he doesn't arrive, will he know? Perhaps he won't show up, then what?`` 4. To check have to for obligation: He had to stay at home. ``If he could have chosen, would he have stayed at home?`` 5. To check an expression: It was a figment of his imagination ``Is it a figment? Where is it?`` 6. To check na expression: He could have kicked himself. ``Could he have hit himself? Could he have hit his brother?`` 7. To check to be going to do something: He's going to see his brother. ``Will he be seeing his brother at some time in the future?``
