    Galvanized Steel Pipe Handrail and Rails for Stairs: 2inch (50mm) outside diameter standard steel pipe

    Gap between bottom rail and stair max. 4 inches (100mm) Weld all joints. Weld mounting plates for each post. Bolt posts to stair structure min. 2 bolts per post. All metal fabricated and hot dipped galvanized before site assembly. All fasteners galvanized or stainless steel.

    Concrete Footings: See plan L-1 for existing concrete footing locations and notes. Existing and /or alternate footings may be installed by Contractor (i.e. helical pier). Landing Stair and Landing Structures: Galvanized Structural Steel Beams and Steel Posts. Minimum sizes assumed by Owner for bid purposes to be 12 inch beams, 4 inch diameter posts. Contractor responsible for provision of detailed shop drawings for Owner review and final approval prior to fabrication. Metal Stair Treads - see SK-3 Treads bolted at each end through steel beam structure.
