methods. is map shows that for one region within Ottawa, that there is very little correlation at all between the mean income earned in 2005 of some census tracts and the amount of children in each tract. While this doesnt answer many questions, a good map should be able to lead people to ask other questions. One question might consider why the region at the lower right of the map has lower amounts of school-age children. Another question might address whether other factors should be weighed in, such a ratio of school-age children to the total population in that region. Sadly, the purpose of this map is only to demonstrate the ability to represent data to high standards, and will not answer these questions today. Still, when such level of detail is applied with strong methodology, these maps will be able to deliver the spatial context to allow decision-makers to arrive at their own answers on the important questions of the day.
