Canberra celebrates Australian Citizenship Day among the trees


A distinct Australian vibe will be rustling through the trees at the National Arboretum in Canberra tomorrow, as the nations capital welcomes more than 100 new citizens as part of Australian Citizenship Day celebrations. The Governor-General, Her Excellency the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, will preside over the ceremony. More than 12 400 people from 145 countries are becoming Australian citizens across Australia at more than 230 ceremonies as part of Australian Citizenship Day 2013 celebrations.
