Jigger machines.-The bearing rollers 2, 3 of a jigger dyeing-machine provided also with clothstretching rollers 6, 7 driven in a direction opposite as regards the movements of the cloth to that of the adjacent bearing rollers, are connected to the driving mechanism through the agency of friction clutches 12, 14, 13, 19 so as to relieve the cloth from tension at starting. The two-part clutch member 12, 13 is actuated by a fork carried by a lever 24 rocked by means of the reversing- handle 23; the tail of the lever 24 is connected to a lever 25 which actuates the clutch part 26, so engaging one or other of the clutch members 27, 32 and transmitting the drive to the stretching rollers 6, 7.
