Follow these guidelines when sketching any crime scene:

Take a rough sketch of the scene 1st. Then go back later and make a final draft.

This final draft must be to scale! The scale must be included.

North must be labeled on the sketch.


All evidence must be numbered with a key included to identify the evidence.

4.

By the key, include Case Number, Date, Location, and Names of sketchers.
All objects at the scene must be measured from two IMMOVABLE landmarks.
