Communications Officer

USAID funded Assessment and Strengthening Program (ASP) aims at the capacity building of Pakistani organizations (public and private sectors) for effective utilization of foreign assistance especially USAID/Pakistan development funding. ASP is a five year program implemented by Rural Support Programmes Network (RSPN). As a part of the MER team at ASP-RSPN, applications for the position of Communication Officer are called. Reporting to the Director MER, the Communications Officer will be responsible for the following: Responsibilities: Update and implement the programs Branding and Marking plan; re-development of the strategy Manage the programs electronic and print media tasks and liaison independently Arrange media briefings, interviews Produce program related information materials, print and audio-visual for media, website, and other public outreach Develop newsletter, brochures and content for print media. Develop case studies and success stories in consultation with Manager Research Provide support to ASP Program units in the organization and management of Conferences, Workshops and Training events Independently manage printing/publishing of program material Maintain and update the programs website Liaison with external advertising, design and printing contractors Capture and maintain the pictures pool of all the events under ASP-RSPN Design, display and update the picture gallery at the office Ensure implementation of USAIDs Branding and Marking requirements Represent ASP-RSPN in Communications related forums Develop content for any public media event Any other task assigned by the supervisor Qualification & Skills: A Masters degree in mass communication or equivalent Outstanding proficiency in English and Urdu writing skills Excellent report writing and editing skills

 Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite and designing/desktop publishing software e.g. Photoshop, Corel Draw, In Design, Illustrator etc Good knowledge of websites Excellent photography skills

Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
