Objective

After I go to college, I hope to achieve a career in computer programming since this is an area where I am already skilled and enjoy very much. When I was in eighth grade I learned how to program in the BASIC language. I began to make my programs more and more complex, and before long I wanted to find a more powerful language. In ninth grade I learned Java, and this opened the door for me to make an interactive database program, a computer game, and other smaller programs. My love for programming ties right in with my love for math because the fundamentals of computer programming are rooted in basic mathematical logic. Ever since I learned algebra in seventh grade I have loved the logical processes involved with math. These skills most likely led to my love for programming. After getting my feet wet in the industry of computer programming, I hope to branch off on my own and start my own computer programming business. I have thought that designing custom management software for businesses could be a possible area to specialize in. Even from my limited life experiences so far, I believe that I have the skills to manage my own business. I have been the Senior Patrol Leader of my Boy Scout troop for a year and a half, and I usually take command of the situation when working in a group of people.
