    Dear Parent/Carer RE: Potential Strike Action Tuesday 1st October 2013 You may be aware from press coverage that the National Union of Teachers (NUT) and National Association of Schoolmasters and Union of Women teachers (NASUWT) have indicated their intention to strike on Monday 1 st October 2013. I am therefore writing to alert you to the possibility of disruption to classes on these days. It is not clear yet whether this could affect some classes in school or lead to the school closing. I am currently assessing the situation with senior colleagues, taking advice from the local authority particularly with regards to Health and Safety issues and will write to you again as soon as the position is clear.
