SYSTEM
A system is composed is an interralated set of elements that function as a whole i.e it is composed of parts and sub parts in an orderly arrangement.
Features :
1) A system is a combination of parts, known as subsystem. 2) Parts and subparts of a system are mutually related.
3) The arrangement of parts and subparts is more important because each contributes positively to the functioning of other parts. 4) A system can be defined easily as it has a boundary which is quiet visible.
TYPES OF SYSTEM
The system can be classified in various ways :
Abstract or physical Natural or man-made On the basis of their working 1) Deterministic 2) Probabilistic Closed and Open systems
SYSTEM STRESS
It means that a stress is a force transmitted by a systems suprasystem that causes a system to change so that the suprasystem can better achieve its objectives.
There are two types of stress that can be imposed on a system : 1) A change in the objectives of the system which results addition of new objectives or elimination of old objectives. 2) A change in the desired level of achievement of the existing objectives which results either increase or decrease of level of achievement.
ADAPTATION PROCESS
When a system faces stress from its suprasystem, it tries to accommodate the stress. This process is known as adaptation process.
Adaptation can take place in two forms: 1) Change in structure 2) Change in process
