ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES: (Will Start Next Week)
Monday through Thursday students will have a chance to complete an enrichment activity with their families. Please initial next to each activity that was completed. Enrichment activities and worksheets provide extra reinforcement for what is being taught in the classroom. Please do not feel pressure to complete every activity, every week.
Spelling
Each week your child will have a spelling list of five Word Wall Words, plus five words that follow our spelling rule for the week. Practice at home is essential to our spelling program. They will have a spelling check in each Friday to demonstrate what they have learned.
Volunteers
Thank you for your willingness to volunteer! I have saved all of your volunteer forms on which you stated your scheduling preferences.
You will be emailed a copy of the schedule by myself or by our wonderful room parent each month before it is final. This allows you to cross check with your schedule. If a time does not work for you, or you will not be able to make it in that day, please email me as soon as possible.

This is a rigorous professional development opportunity for Mrs. Carr, sponsored by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. Requires providing evidence, video, and written reflection to prove powerful and successful teaching. This process does not change the curriculum or class procedures, it is an after school project for Mrs. Carr. Please sign the video release form for your child, and one for yourself if you plan to volunteer.
