Biography:

My name is Ivana Zavii, I was born in Belgrade in 1991. I have been playing the violin since I was 6 years old. I have attended the Music School Mokranjac (Belgrade, Serbia), and in 2008 I graduated from the class of prof. Ljubica Perovi. Currently I am a candidate for MA in Violin Performance at the Belgrade University of Arts - Faculty of Music, where I study in the class of Associate Prof, Ivan Aimoski-Ziki I have attended many competitions and won the following prizes: Second Prize, IV International Competition, 2009 (Ni, Serbia) Third Prize, National Music Competition, 2006 (Belgreade, Serbia) Third Prize, National Music Competition, 2004 (Belgreade, Serbia) Second Prize, National Music Competition, 2000 (Belgrade, Serbia) I am also the winner of the Meri eelj Majer award, as the best 3rd year violin student at the Belgrade University of Arts - Faculty of Music, during the 2010-2011 academic year. I have participated in many international youth orchestras, orchestra academies and professional orchestras. Among them, I would specially highlight participation at the Maribor International Orchestra, and professional engagement at the "Radio Television of Serbia Symphony Orchestra, and Belgrade Chamber Orchestra "Orpheus". I attended masterclasses with Dimitris Semsi (Music Horizons Conservatory of Athens), David Takeno (Guildhall School of Music & Drama) and Blagorodna Taneva (National School of Music Ljubomir Pipkov (Sofia - Bulgaria).
