InterAction Members Among Humanitarian Groups Entering Gaza

Washington, DC (January 23, 2009)—International humanitarian staff are now being allowed to enter
Gaza for the first time since early November. Entry is, however, being granted on a case-by-case basis
with many operations are still being conducted by national staff.

international community for food. Other obvious priority needs include fuel, medical assistance, and water
and sanitation services. InterAction members, along with their partner agencies, are already responding
