    Lesson 1 Phonics

    The Alphabet
    In the English language we have letters, these letters make all of our words, all 26 of these letters are in our alphabet.

    Vowels
    In our alphabet we have 26 letters. The English language also has vowels,

    a-e-i-o-u,
    these are the 5 vowels.

    Sounds

    Every letter that is NOT call a vowel is a consonant.

    These letters are consonants in the English language:


    T- Table L- Lamp B- Bell N- Nest M- Milk
    H- Horse S- Sun C- Cat D- Dog G- Goat

    A BLEND
    A blend is a consonant with one vowel. Sample: H-A- make Ha. A word is a blend with an ending letter that makes a word. Sample: bat
