Description: unassigned virus in Flaviviridae +ssRNA, 10kb, monopartite, icosahedral capsid, enveloped 40-60nm in diameter, directly translated, nucleic acid alone infectious

It is spread via blood-to-blood transmission like transfusions and shared needles, sexual transmission, and possibly from mother to child during birth. Outcome: Though HGV was found in chronic hepatitis patients w/o other viral hepatitis types, subsequent studies did not show any association between HGV and acute or chronic hepatitis. Other studies, however, have shown that it has a significant association with increased survival in HIV. Speed: Medium, incubation like that of HCV 3-20 wks Defenses: Vaccines: none Behavioral: HGV is normally found with HCV which does lead to chronic hepatitis, thus avoid sharing needles. Treatment: none Game action: If paired with HIV, you receive an immunity to allow you to remain in the game in the case that you die only once.
