Q1. Describe the major functions of the following reciprocating engine components: Piston, Connecting Rod, Crankshaft, Cams and Cam Shaft, valves, Intake and Exhaust Manifold Q2. Indicate with appropriate sketch the different forces that act on the piston and the directions of these forces during the engine expansion stroke Q3. List five important differences between the design and operating characteristics of spark ignition and compression ignition engines Q4.
