HE SHOULD never be released from prison is the message from a woman who was abused by a North Lincolnshire care worker.
As a child the victim, whose identity has been protected by the Scunthorpe Telegraph, was raped and indecently assaulted by care worker Michael Brizzalari, while she was a resident at Scawby Grove childrens home. The abuse Brizzalari inflicted upon her plunged her into a seemingly unstoppable spiral of drugs and crime, and only now, six years after his conviction, does she feel she has been able to rebuild her life. But she fears Brizzalari could soon be freed. Her fears come just a day after the Scunthorpe Telegraph revealed fellow former Scawby Grove care worker James Bernard Littlewood had been released after serving six years of an 11-year prison sentence for child sex offences. Brizzalari, of The Turbary, Belton, was jailed for 15 years alongside Littlewood whose sentence was reduced on appeal from 13 years to 11 and Keith Mair, of Frodingham Road, Scunthorpe, who got 12 years.
REBUILDING HER LIFE: The victim has now moved on from her despair at Scawby Grove. Pictured posed by model.
