Training and Development Coordinator Connect>Lockleaze

Hours: 28 hours over 5 days with some evening work required. Salary: SCP 16 16,933 (pro rata) Fixed Term Contact: 1 year Funded by: Employer: Partners: University of W est of England, Bristol City Council and Quartet Community Foundation North Bristol Advice Centre Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust, North Bristol Advice Centre, Stoke Park Schools, Horfield Community Association, Hewlett Packard and University of West of England.

The Training and Development Coordinator will manage and develop training activities at four community centres in conjunction with Connect>Lockleaze. The post holder will have responsibility for overseeing current and prospective training calendars and programmes and will work to identify new opportunities as well as maintaining good working relationships with existing partners. Main Tasks: x x x x x x x x Develop a comprehensive programme of coordinated courses and activities across the 4 centres that are relevant to the needs of the local residents. Liaise with training providers to develop and co-ordinate delivery of appropriate training sessions and activities. Coordinate and manage a regular steering group and identify key issues to be addressed to maintain and develop Connect<>Lockleaze. Strengthen partnerships with organisations and entities engaged in local economic development efforts. Investigate the market for training courses and other related activities - such as social care and recreational opportunities Build a portfolio of digital and actual resources, skilled facilitators and freelance personnel to deliver activities. Liaise with community workers, Council departments, FE providers, volunteers and others to integrate the work of Connect<>Lockleaze with other community activities. Recruit, manage and support a team of volunteers.
