Ms. Scahills 1 st Grade News!

This week in 202!
Apple Week was a huge success! Students participated in apple centers, lots of apple crafts, and apple explorations. On Thursday, students tried different types of apples, as well as apple dip and apple cider! We also graphed which kinds of apples students brought in. Red apples were the clear winner!

Student of the Week

I am very excited to announce that Cash has been chosen as our first student of the week. Next week, Cash will be sharing his about me poster, show and tell, and journal entry about his week. I am very excited for each student in our classroom to celebrate their special week with our class!

Next Week in 202!

We will be starting Chapter 2 in math next week, addition and subtraction. We are also beginning Unit 2 of Superkids, studying words with the wh sound. Our spelling words for next week will be listed on the homework page for next week!

Progress Reports will be sent home Wednesday, October 2nd.

We have planned our first field trip of the year. On November 5, we will be going to a live performance of Frog and Toad. Please do not order hot lunch for that day- each student will need a lunch from home.
