Graduated from Rider University with a BA in Elementary Education/English Earned an Associate Media Specialist certification from Rowan University Has taught as a Media Specialist at the K-8 level for three different school districts.

My Childs Library Schedule

Each week students will visit the library. Students in K-1 will be able to check out 1 book. Students in 2-3 will be able to check out 2 books. There will be a set day for their library time.

5 Finger Rule

I encourage students to pick books that they find interesting. If they are reading independently, here are some rules to remember:

If there are more than five tricky words per page and the student needs to reread a lot, the book is too hard. If there are only two or three tricky words and the page can be read easily then the book is just right.
