Ethnic Minority and iEmerging Leadership Training


The training is designed to increase involvement of ethnic minorities and other emerging leaders in the association.
The planning committee that worked with Secretary-Treasurer Al Llorens on this training program:

When: November 1-3 in Springfield at the PDC. Approximate start time on Friday, 4 p.m. , ending at Noon on Sunday.
The training is divided into three major sections:

Messaging Parliamentary Procedure Organizing Common Core

Team Building

Teams will run a slate of candidates for office. The work will be divided among the team members. Duties will range from speech writing, platform and message development, signage, negotiations, and elections.

Teams will be formed based on the number of participants. IEA will fund 15 participants, other participants (can be region, local or self-funded). RA Business Sessions

There will be two sessions. During these business sessions, candidates will be nominated, NBIs and Resolutions will be submitted, and all business will follow Roberts Rules of Order. There will also be a minority caucus meeting Saturday morning.
