    Learn some British history. Go to the BBC History Timeline http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/british/launch_tl_british.shtml.

    1. Click on Launch the Timeline. Then click on Explore the Timeline.


    Find the date of the historical events below. Hint: Type keywords in the Search box for faster searching. Henry VIII dies and is succeeded by nine-year-old Edward VI. Henry VI assumes power as king of England. James I ends the war with Spain. 'Black Death' enters Britain. A male heir, Edward, is born to Henry VIII and Jane Seymour. Wars of the Roses begin with first Battle of St Albans. William Caxton publishes the first printed book in England.

    2. Put the sentences above in the correct order according to the dates.
    The first one is done for you. 1. 'Black Death' enters Britain. (1347)

    3. Click on the timeline of one of the events above and add one more piece of information about this
    important event.
