The GB competent authority 1 recognises the following pressure vessel codes 2 for the design and construction of portable tanks in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 6.7 of RID and ADR. Technical Rules for Pressure Vessels Code for the Construction of Unfired Pressure Vessels

Regulation 26 of The Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2009 provides for the GB competent authority to perform those functions that are identified in ADR, RID and ADN as being the functions of a competent authority. This is a requirement of chapter 6.7.2.2.1 and 6.7.4.2.1
