A RESOLUTION

By the Houghton County Democratic Party on

Health Care Reform

Whereas the Houghton County Democratic Party believes that all Americans are entitled to quality
health care;

Whereas this health care should be affordable, accessible, and non-discriminatory;

Whereas a single-payer health care plan operated by the federal government would be most cost
effective;

Whereas a single-payer plan would be available to all individuals;

Whereas this plan would allow patients to have access to their choice of health care providers,

Be it therefore resolved that the Houghton County Democratic Party endorses and supports a
single-payer health care system for all Americans.

COUNTY DEMOCRATIC PARTY’S REGULAR MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP MEETING IN
HOUGHTON COUNTY, MICHIGAN, THIS FIRST DAY OF JULY, TWO THOUSAND
AND NINE, IN HOUGHTON, MICHIGAN.
