September

Dear parents

We have started the year full of energy and ready to do our best day by day.

Lectura
We are working on stations: 1-Conversation 2-Grammar and verbs 3-Writing composition 4-Vocabulary 5-Reading We are already in lesson 5 in Lecturas book. We have completed our readings: El ocial Buckle y Gloria, Pepita habla dos veces, Nate, el gran detective de San Francisco, El sueo de basquetbol de Allie, and Baha de tortugas.

Social studies
We are studying the Southwest region. We are focused on geography, history and economy. Students are encouraged to locate the four states (Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona and New Mexico). When we nish the lesson, we will have the test and a project about every important items.

Every Friday we have a test of the weekly reading. Students can listen the readings from this blog: http://spanisholg.blogspot.com/ Students are asked to read at least one book a month in Spanish.

Sciences
We have started with the book Changes in the Earth. We have studied the erosion of the wind, and have already completed one project using google drive, and another 1 one creating our own mountain in a box, to learn how the wind affect to the landscape.
