Dear Chairman Obey and Ranking Member Lewis,

I am requesting funding for the South Central Community Services in fiscal year 2010. The
entity to receive funding for this project is the South Central CommUllity Services, located at
8316 South Ellis Avenue,Chicago, 1L 60619. The funding will be used for proposed after school
programming to help at-risk children transcend the risk factors in their lives by providing them
with knowledge and educational enrichment to succeed, through in home tutoring and mentor
service; providing a safe, enriching environment for youth during the out-of-school hours;
decreasing youth's association with deviant peers; improving school performance; developing
and/or increasing career choices; engaging youth in positive recreational and educational
activities; making youth aware of social ills. I certify that neither I nor my spouse has any
