I am forwarding a request for funding for the Capital City Safe Streets Program in
the FY 2010 Commerce, Justlce, Science and Related AgenCies Appropnations bill.
These funds will be used to reduce vIOlent crime m Annapolis by establishmg
parlnershlps between local, State and Federal agencies to focus on vIOlent crime
preventIOn in collaboratIOn With community non-profit organizatIOns that carry-out
constltuent services such as mentonng, counseling, and adult and youth educational
programs. The entlty to receive funding for thiS project is the City of Annapolis located
at 160 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD, 21401. I certify that neither I nor my
spouse has any financial interest m the project.
