As the Subcommittee prepares the Fiscal Year 2010 Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related
Agencies Appropriations Bill, I write to notify you that I am requesting funding for the following project and
entity:

Project Title: Interoperable Communications System

Entity: City of Tamarac

This funding would be used for:

A new radio system for city and county government officials, first responders, and other public
safety workers to communicate and coordinate ongoing law enforcement and disaster-related
emergencies.
