    Dear Chainnan Obey and Ranking Member Lewis:

    I am requesting funding for Carbon Sequestration and Climate Change Models for
    NY State Forests in fiscal year 2010. The entity to receive funding for this project is:

    State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry

    The funding would be used for developing a software-based carbon accounting and
    modeling tool for a baseline economic multiplier for New York State forests' ability to sequester
    carbon and mitigate climate change.
