    Dear Chairman Obey and Ranking Member Lewis:

    I am requesting funding for the National Academy for Reentry Policy and Practice in
    fiscal year 2010. The entity to receive funding for this project is the John Jay College of
    Criminal Justice located at 899 Tenth Avenue, New York, NY 10019. The funding will
    be used for the establishment of a National Academy for Reentry Policy and Practice.
    This program will provide comprehensive and cross-disciplinary skill development and
    training to public administrators and others charged with managing prisoner re-entry
    throughout the country. I certify that neither I nor my spouse has any financial interest in
    this project.
