Dear Chairman Obey:

I am requesting funding for the Oakland Center for Public Safety at Merritt
College in fiscal year 2010. The entity to receive funding is Peralta Community
College District, located at 333 8 th Street, Oakland, CA 94606. This funding will
provide important training and exercise programs to Oakland area public safety
agencies to help them in their ability to prevent, respond and recover from acts of
terrorism or other mass casualty events. I certify that I have no financial interest
in this project.
