Dear Chairman Obey and Ranking Member Lewis:

I am requesting funding for Chesapeake Bay Interpretive Buoy System in Fiscal Year 2010. The
entity to receive funding for this project is the The Conservation Fund (NOAA Chesapeake Bay
Office- Recipient), located at 1655 N. Fort Myer Drive, Suite 1300, Arlington, Virginia, 22209.
The funding would be used for a system that combines on-the-water environmental sensor buoys
and educational materials. In the long term, the system contributes significantly to the
restoration of the Bay habitat.

I certify that neither I nor my spouse has any financial interest in this project.

Sincerely,

C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger
