1. Please bring a small nutritional snack every day. 2. Monday folders are returned Tuesday. 3. Daily folders are the CHILDS responsibility, and come back every day. 4. Practice spelling words! 5. Please work with pennies, nickels, and dimes with your children.

The Week Ahead

Reading: As a part of Daily 5 we will continue to Read To Self, Read To Someone, and Work On Writing. In Letterland we will learn the word families ock, o, and ot. We will also learn the sh digraph. Writing: We will continue to write small moment narrative stories using the narrative writing rubric. We will share our writing with a partner, and we will share with the class to have a writers celebration! Math: We will create and solve subtraction equations. We will continue to solve word problems using addition and subtraction with drawings and equations. We will continue to work with pennies, nickels, and dimes. Science: We will understand that comparing involves observing and describing similarities and differences. We will measure with standard and nonstandard units. Social Studies: Students will understand the importance of rules in the home, school and community.
