    INSTRUCTIONS
    1. The list shows approval accorded by Chief Engineer (Elect.) P.W.D Mumbai to various items up to July 2008. Executive Engineers are informed to update the list by incorporating approval accorded by Chief Engineer (Elect.). The validity of the approval shall be checked by Executive Engineer 2. All ISI license mark and above grade (As per International Standards) materials are approved by Chief Engineer (Elect.) for use on Government works. No separate approval for such material from Chief Engineer (Elect.) is required. The Executive Engineer while using materials on work should check up the validity of ISI mark issued by Bureau of Indian Standards 3. If necessary the Executive Engineer should get the materials tested from ISI or any approved laboratory for verifying the genuineness of product. This is applicable to all materials 4. For renewal, manufacturer / firm shall apply at least 3 months before the expiry along with latest test report from approved laboratory 5. If inadvertently some approved materials (Firms Name) are remained to be included, this shall be brought to the notice of Chief Engineer (Elect.) 6. For material approved by Chief Engineer (Elect.) validity is mentioned in the list. On expiry of validity the continuation / renewal of approval should be confirmed from office of Chief Engineer (Elect.) 7. In addition to approved list, if any other item tendered by the agency with a statement that it is approved, the same should be confirmed by office of Chief Engineer (Elect.)
