The City of Watertown's Department of Public Works will begin paving Mechanic Street between State Street and Factory Street on October 3rd at 7:00am, weather permitting. During this project, Mechanic Street will be closed between State Street and Factory Street. Local residents are asked to park on nearby side streets while work crews pave the road and establish traffic control for the duration of the project. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes but should exercise caution if traveling through the work zone.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY & STREET CLOSURE Mechanic Street
The City of Watertowns Department of Public Works crews will begin the process of paving Mechanic Street. This work will be performed between State Street and Factory Street. Weather permitting; the road maintenance crew anticipates paving to begin on Thursday, October 3rd @ 7:00am and is expected to last throughout the day. During this portion of the project, Mechanic Street will be CLOSED between State Street and Factory Street. Local residents should make arrangements to park on nearby side streets while this work is underway. Public Works crews will follow standard protocol to establish traffic control on-site for the duration of the project. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes on this date but if traveling through, should exercise caution when encountering work crews and work zones.
