(6027) 2008 + 2009 + 2010 = 6027 or 2000 + 2000 + 2000 + 8 + 9 + 10 = 6000 + 27 = 6027 (35) 7 days in a week, 5 weeks. 5 x 7 = 35. (20) 50 12 18 = 20 inches (48) 12 + 4 = 16 minutes to assemble and paint each airplane. 16 + 16 + 16 = 48 minutes (23) The tens place doesnt determine if the number is odd or even so you would want to use the smallest non-zero number, that is 2. The ones place is important, it must be odd, and the smallest odd number is 3. Therefore the smallest 2-digit number is 23. (8) Right turns are marked in circles below.

(27) 18 x 3 = 54 or 18 + 18 + 18 = 54. Half of 54 is 27 or 54 / 2 = 27 (30) Group 50 seeds into 5 seeds a group; you will have 50 5 = 10 groups. In each group, there are 5 seeds, and among them, 3 seeds will grow. Altogether, there are 3x 10 = 30 seeds will grow. (12) Codys age is twice Phils age. 18 must be 3 times Phils age. We can also use the following bar diagram to illustrate the situation:

Ella is a vegetarian so her only option is the cheese pizza. Since Charlotte and Ruby dont like pizza, Matilda is the only person who could have gotten the pepperoni pizza. To use the least number of coins, Tracey will need to use as many large coins as possible. For $0.38, she can at most have 1 quarter. For the remaining $0.38-$0.25 = $0.13, she can at most have 1 dime. For the remaining $0.13$0.10=$0.03, she will have to use 3 pennies for that. Altogether, she will have to use 1+1+3 = 5 coins. The amount increased is $103 $68 = $35. The number of $5 bills she increased is $35 $5 = 7. Thus, the number of $5 bills she originally had is 7 as well. If the highest number Faye picks is 5, she has to pick 2. If the highest card Faye picks is 4, she has 2 choices: either pick 3 or pick 2 and 1.If the highest card she picks is 3 or 2 or 1, Faye will not be able to have 7 hearts. The following 3 choices are the only choices Faye has. 52 43 421

There are 30 days in April. There are 30 days between April 15th and May 15th. 4 Weeks = 28 days. If April 15 is a Wednesday, 28 days after April 15th should be a Wednesday as well. Thus, 30 days after April 15th should be a Friday. Every figure adds 3 tiles from the previous figure. If figure 3 has 10 tiles. Then figure 4 will have 13 tiles. Figure 5 will have 16 tiles. Finally, figure 6 will have 19 tiles. 8 Pigs will get 12 chicken (82 = 4; 4*3 = 12). 12 Chickens will get 3 Sheep (124 = 3). 3 Sheep will get 2 Cows.

Nathan can only paint a plane after Owen constructs it. Since Nathan takes less time than Owen, he can paint each plane while Owen constructs the next plane. The only plane that will take extra time is the last one.

The image depicts how long it will take them to complete their respective tasks. Therefore it will take 5 minutes more than it takes Owen to complete all of his tasks. Therefore 10 x 6 = 60; 60 + 5 = 65. 65 minutes after 8:00 A.M. is 9:05 A.M.

We will use the Guess and Check strategy:

$5 Books $1 Books Price 6 16 14 13 $76 $36 $44 $48

Guess #1 Guess #2 Guess #3 Guess #4

14 4 6 7

The total price is too high! We will reduce the number of $5 books. The total price is too low! We will increase the number of $5 books. The total price is a little low. We will increase the number of $5 books by a little. This is the answer!
