    TASK TWELVE: Music Magazine Research Formatting Research


    SYNOPSIS: When planning your 4 pages for your music magazine, it is IMPERATIVE that you use the correct alignment. This means that everything on your page needs to line up with the page folds to ensure that nothing on the magazine is unreadable as well as laying out your magazine columns correctly and equally. TASK: Using pages, create 3 guides (front cover, contents page and a double page spread) that show the alignment and layout of a magazine. Things to think about; Boarders Titles and pay numbers at the top and bottom of the pages Room for headings Columns Pull quotes Editors notes Picture spaces Free things etc

    PRESENTATION: Screen shot these and upload them on slideshare.net and discuss why knowing this is important for the planning of your magazine. GRADING: A/A* - the research and presentation will be excellent. Terminology will be used extensively. B/C the research and presentation will be good. Terminology will be used. D The research and video will be proficient. It will be complete but the detail may be limited.

    E Work will be complete. Attempts will be made to complete the work and some magazine representational discussions will be evident.
