Iglu produced a Development Framework for a site on the south eastern edge of Rosewell in Midlothian, helping to coordinate input relating to planning, transport, drainage, ecology and ground condition. The framework looked beyond the boundaries of the site and set out a vision for the generational growth of Rosewell. This proposed the development of new homes in locations that would help support the existing facilities in the village, reducing the need for future residents to commute to surrounding settlements for their day to day needs. The two conceptual masterplan options that were produced in the development framework proposed over 140 new homes and a landscape strategy that would help link the village to the Shiel Burn, integrating lands to the east of the main, Carnethie Street, corridor..
