Town of Spartanburg
Spartanburg is located in the upstate of South Carolina, only an hour and a half from Columbia, the state capital. Spartanburg county has almost 300,000 residents. on. There is always something happening and something to do. From special parks (dog parks; skate parks; recreational parks) to special holiday events (Dickens of a Christmas; International Festival; Red, White, and Boom). Spartanburg is a center for higher education. It is a college town with eight different colleges. These colleges are an economic driver for the city. Most students attend public schools in one of the seven districts. Spartanburg is a town known for being arts and community driven. Spartanburg is home to the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium which houses many different events for the community. Some of these events include various concerts, a college fair, musicals, Santas Shoppe, balls, festivals, graduations, shows, competitions, recitals and pageants.

Spartanburg High School

Spartanburg High School is a large high school with 1531 students. This high school has so much to offer. It has over 20 AP Courses to earn college credit as well as many extracurricular activities to get involved in. As a high school student, I wanted to be involved in many different things. I was a member of the French Club, Mu Alpha Theta, the National Honors Society, FCA, Anchor Club, and Keystone Club. I was a member of Junior Leadership Spartanburg and was a Teacher Cadet. I played volleyball and lacrosse and was the captain on both of those teams. I was also an AP Scholar. Spartanburg High School has so much to offer.
