RULES FOR THE SIX-A-SIDE CRICKET TOURNAMENT 2013 1.

The games will be played under the normal rules of cricket except for the WIDE BALL and NO BALL laws. (See 8) 2. Each team will consist of six playing members. 3. Matches are five (5) overs per side. 4. The wicketkeeper can bowl. 5. Each game will consist of one inning each side, and played at six (6) balls an over. 6. The coin toss for each game will occur before the start of a game. An official will be assigned to supervise each coin toss. 7. The innings will conclude when either all the overs have been bowled or all five Batsmen have been dismissed. 8. NO Balls and WIDE Balls shall incur a penalty of two (2) runs. An extra ball shall be included in the over. 9. Short-pitched balls above the shoulder height will be called no balls, resulting in 2 runs. The square leg umpire will call the no ball in the event of a ball passing over the batsmans shoulder height, when standing. 10. Full Tosses above the waist will be called no balls, resulting in 2 runs. 11. Hitting a wide ball disqualifies it from being a Wide. 12. Rules for Leg Byes and Byes shall apply. 13. Points System - Win 2 points, Tie 1 point and lose 0 point. 14. If teams are tied in the group standings, then the winners will be determined as follows: a. Net Run-Rate b. Fewest wide balls bowled c. Toss of a coin 15. In case of injury a substitute fielder will be allowed. If the injured player did not bowl or complete his over, then the substitute will be allowed to either bowl or complete the over. Substitutes may only replace injured players during a game. 16. Umpires will be selected by the committee and umpires decision is the final decision.
17. Any point not provided for in the Rules shall be decided by the Committee whose decision shall be final.
