“Extreme Rescue”

Four years ago this summer I had the

opportunity to teach a group of twenty inmates
at the Newton Correctional Facility in Newton,
Iowa. During those three months the Lord lit a
fire in my heart for prison ministry.

Two weeks ago I accepted a position as Assistant

Director of “Grace without Borders” Prison
Ministries. At this time, it is a volunteer
position. I will be ministering in several of the
prisons around Arkansas preaching,
discipling, counseling, teaching and being a
pastor to inmates.

It is with a great sense of anticipation and

excitement that I enter into this next phase of
my life and ministry ….. “Extreme Rescue”.

1999 - God moves in the heart of Rod and Jeanne

Brouwer, and they both accept Him as Lord
and Savior. Rod leaves Maytag Corporation.
- Rod becomes involved with Prison
Fellowship with IFI.
2007 -The Brouwers moved to Arkansas and
continue IFI ministry.
2008 - Rod began a new ministry called Grace
without Borders prison ministry.

Since the first of this year 195 inmates have prayed

to receive Christ as their personal Savior. Of those
men, 59 have been baptized and many of them are in
discipleship studies conducted by “Grace without
Borders” volunteers from a variety of churches in
the central Arkansas area.
