Allen Park Middle School Physical Education

Grading Students will be graded on the following: Preparation- wearing P.E. uniform Participation/Effort Cooperation/Following Directions- rules Class Preparation Students will be expected to be on time for class. Students will be expected to wear a uniform: Black or Navy Blue shorts/White or Grey Shirt. Uniforms are not to be shared with other students! Students will be expected to sit down at the attendance spot. NO Short shorts (with arms side by side, shorts must be longer than finger tips) NO Tank Tops (all shirts MUST have sleeves), NO Belly shirts, No Sandals, All sneakers with laces MUST be tied. Students that wear any of the above will be considered unprepared & and excluded from activity and not receive credit for that class. Jewelry should not be worn during class. If a student is unable to participate in P.E., one note written and signed by a parent is acceptable. If a student will be unable to participate in P.E. for an extended period of time (1 week or more) a doctors note will be required, that note should indicate when the student can resume physical education activities. Class Participation Each student will be evaluated after each class based on how well they worked towards accomplishing the days objectives. Students can earn up to 15 points per class. 5 points for Uniform 10 points for Participation/Behavior/Effort Students will NOT earn full participation credit for the following: Violating safety rules Disrupting the class Not cooperating with others Not participating Policy for Grading All students will begin the card marking with 500 out of 500 points First TWO No Dresses will result in -30 points each time. (60 total) Third No Dress will result in -20 Fourth and so on No Dresses will result in -20 each time POINTS CANNOT BE MADE UP
