Exercise

In English you use prepositions to connect nouns or between nouns and


pronouns. Imagine that you encounter two nouns: stapler and book. You can
use prepositions in many ways to connect the two nouns to express different
ideas:
The stapler is behind the book
The stapler in front of the book
The stapler near the book
The stapler is under the book

Scrambled sentences.
Identify in each case the function of the groups of words. Write each joined
sentence on the line below.
Be especially careful when organizing each sentence. Remember: Each
sentence has a: subject+ verb+ complement order. The following underlined
words represent the prepositions on the sentence.
