Assistant Principals report

Mike Puccetti

Hello everyone! The Roper Sports Carnival that has just finished was an example of how school and community can work together well to produce good outcomes. Five schools from the region, plus Ngukurr CEC, attended the carnival and although we had hoped for a few more participants, those who came had a great time and were warmly received by Ngukurr school and community. The staff is currently evaluating how the carnival went and it is possible that a similar event may be held at Ngukurr again next year. Many thanks go out to all community people who so warmly supported our visitors, especially Katrina, Paul, Rein, Diane, Justine, the Sport and Rec. girls, Ngukurr night patrol, the Canberra Grammar boys and their teachers and Sunrise Health. All visitors had a great time and our staff did a great job organizing catering and supervision, especially Bill, Helen, Kristina, Anna, Natasha and all teachers who were out on the oval for the long day of sports and fun. It was certainly worthwhile for all of us and many friendships were made!

Hello!
Welcome to David Parish, the new senior secondary teacher to Ngukurr School. David has been working in the Northern Territory for many years. If you see him say hello!
